I've made the occassional music track over the years, but in 2024 I created The TrancePorter to synthesise music from my digital artworks. And then in 20225 I started creating The TranceSender to synthesise music through live performance.

It is these works you can browse through here, along with various artticles covering the created works, the instruments, and the deep internals.

The TrancePorter transforms digital art works in synthesising its music. It doesn't work with live action (like The TranceSender) but it does work with high-resolution imagery (4k and above).

In principle I write a video storyboard that animates digital images within a musical meter. The image selection and animation techniques create a visual narrative from which the musical score is derived. The instrument is multi-timbral and builds up layers of voices that are tied to the visual activity. The output is midi which is then further processed to add the voicing and for the mix.
